I think you are getting a trifle confused here daz, it was not the Americans that saved our skins it was the the Soviets. You can bet your boots that if the Soviets had not fought so bravely and sacrificed so much, America would now be skulking in it's own back yard and muttering threats and the British national anthem would be Deutschland Ueber Alles. Where did this myth that JSG is an anti-American board come from? Thinking Bush is a complete plonker does NOT = hating America! It merely indicates a dislike of election cheats and crass stupidity and warmongering. Well some of them are all over the place. Lucan is so clueless as to be a priceless member. I've never laughed so much since reading Excos posts about Labours valiant driving down of the Crime figures. The trouble with Arena is that when he tries to be funny its very serious and when he tries to be serious its soddin hilarious. Really though, Lucan is someone well worth keeping an eye on. Back to the drawing board, Gus. The Germans were better equipped and outnumbered us so of course they win. The Americans come in with better equipment and more numbers and of course they win. It may have been different with bows and arrows and Agincourt but when it comes to fighting the biggest and strongest Army usually wins. Its not rocket science is it? Yes Daz, Britain had too many bolshi appeasers who wanted us NOT to have any army or deterrent against the Germans. The same kind of idiots who are around today and don't want us to have an army or any deterrent. Maybe even people like GUS. And I don't suppose it occurred to Gus that but for Britain and the Americans, Russia would have been overrun by Germans as well. Well it seems that i need to aquaint you, daz and the other right wing nuts on JSG the REAL facts. You see it happend like this. Once upon a time children there was a big bad wolf called Nazism, and this big bad wolf wanted to kill another big bad wolf called Bolshevism. The Soviet/Slavic people were another one of Nazi Germany's targets for extermination, though in their case it was mostly enslavement, so they had as much to fight for as anyone else politics aside.

The ukrainien currency is called hryvnya and it is pronounced as far as i can make out as ' greevnja' there are almost 10 h to 1 pound, 5 to the american dollar. Marlboro cigs 4 h Chesterfields 3.50 and for anyone else who is interested here are a few more prices. pork loin 24h per kilo apples 5h per kilo german coffee 40h per kilo. ukrainien 35h milk, litre 2.50h 10 eggs 5h vodka , litre cheap 10h, better quality 20h btw there are dozens to choose from. beer half litre 3h My girl friends rent for a three room apartment (2 bedrooms) including gas, electricity, water, is 300h per month average wage around 1000h per month. old age state pension between 300 and 400 per month but they pay no rent. gus hello gus, cigarettes are very cheap there. my colleague was there two years ago and they allowed to take from the country only two packages for 10boxes:( |
